'Sun Halo', representation of fire; a set of two quarry pieces to place hot dishes on our table.
The ring, a pair of concentric circles; possible symbol of transition, change and evolution.
A very present figure in pre-Hispanic graphics.
*Proposal inspired by the sculpture of the Disc of Death found in Teotihuacán in 1964; a figure charged with duality: death and the sun. The darkness and the fire. The transition; the passage to new dimensions.
Material and technique: Turned and carved quarry.
Artisan: Víctor Ruiz, Querétaro.
